Padow's Country Cured Sliced Bacon Four 1 lb. Packages
Southern breakfast tradition, this bacon is salt and sugar cured to cook up crispy and full of flavor. Do not try to brown this product as dark as grocery store bacon because it will burn. Since this bacon has no water in it, it will fry to a light brown color only. The water in bacon causes it to reach that dark color in grocery store bacon. Most grocery stores bacons contain 20 - 30% water. Our bacon loses 10% of it's original weight when curing. There is a 30 - 40% weight difference in the bacons, and that is why our product is so much more full-flavored and is a higher price. You may use in cooking a pot of greens or beans for a truly memorable dish.
Best results - fried or broiled, but may be microwaved.
